Thermostats are set at 68°-72° and NO WAY with heat index of 102°-109° will it get to that temp inside! Here is your answer!! Save yourself some $$ and read this!! Important information on days like today when people can't understand why the AC is not getting to 68° Your air conditioner can provide about 20 degrees of cooling from the supply air and return air that passes over the evaporator coils. In other words, on a 100° day, even the most efficient air conditioner could only achieve an 80° inside temperature. Thanks to recirculating return air, though, the air from your vent may be in the 50’s even on that 100° day. That 20-degree heat loss from hot outside supply air is still warm enough to be uncomfortable, especially in humid climates. However, when it mixes with 70° indoor air, you feel the difference at the vent.
With heat indexes over 100° during this heat wave we ask please do not call us if your system is below 79°. IT IS WORKING, they just can't keep up with this heat and humidity. Keep your thermostats at 73 ° - 75° for best performance during this time.
At this time we are not signing up any NEW customers for cleanings or our precision maintenance program
